When did you first feel called to religious life? Do you remember a specific place? A person?

Yes, It was summer 2016 when my older brother (Sarfraz Alam) shared about Augustine and Augustinian way of life. I was touched by Augustine’s words: “Lord help me to know myself so that I may know you”.  That leads me to search God and myself through Augustinan way of life.

​What's something fun / something you enjoy about living in community?  
​

I am happy with the community in which I live and most of all the work. It is so much fun and a joy for me to be with everyone. I love knowing them and they know me.

What is the best kept secret / most underrated aspect of the Tradition and Spirituality of Augustine?  

One of the aspects of Augustine’s spirituality I love is Interiority. I feel it’s more internal than other spiritualities and that’s why more personal and secret. Searching for God not outside but within.  

   

Do you have a hobby / passion that you enjoy spending time on?

Singing and Dancing, and recently I developed and find myself enjoying reading.
